[Request] I need your venison help!

My boss has recently gotten into hunting and thus had a freezer full of venison. He gave me a few steaks and a roast, but I have never cooked venison before. I have a small leg roast and three "ass steaks" (his words, not mine). I know venison is very lean, so I'm sure that preparing it well can be tricky. Any advice for how to best prepare these cuts of meat? Any favorite venison recipes?
