(help) How can i make something look absolutely disgusting but still taste good?

My SO and tend to poke fun at my terrible cooking, id like to make something look absolutely disgusting but that itll still taste good. any ideas? i dont mean like weird ingredients just how can i make normal-ish recipes look gross
