I'm in the process of planning a Halloween party, and a budding tradition in our circle of friends is to get together for breakfast the next day. Normally, we drag ourselves through it, focusing mainly on the bacon and coffee.
This time, I'm hosting, and I want to make sure that there is a third element that is delicious, nutritious, starchy, and most of all, impressive. I'm good with going sweet or savory, and ideally I'd like to be able to prep for it ahead of time so the morning of is as simple as mixing stuff up and tossing it in a pan or oven. I do have a slow cooker which I could use for something overnight (oatmeal?).
