Gingerbread Syrup
Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 TB Molasses
- 1 stick of cinnamon
- 1/2-1 TB grated ginger (depending on how gingery you want it)
- 1 tsp whole black peppercorn
- 1/2 tsp whole cloves
- 1/2 tsp whole allspice
- 1/4 tsp nutmet
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in saucepan
- Heat over medium heat, stirring
- Bring to a slow boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1/2 hour
- Cool syrup
- Pour syrup through a fine mesh
- Store in a bottle in the refrigerator and use within one month
