Homemade Tahini Paste: 2 ingredient 5 minute vegan recipe

Tahini paste is irreplaceable in hummus and is widely used in salad dressings. Add it to noodle dishes, stir-fries, homemade bread, pesto, cookies and brownies to give them a nutty flavor. Gluten-free, healthy and delicious! Homemade tahini paste tastes much better and is cheaper than the one from the store.

Ingredients

  • 150 grams (1 cup) unhulled sesame seeds (or any other kind)
  • 30 grams (1/5 cup) black sesame seeds
  • 4-5 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Toast the unhulled sesame and the black sesame seeds in a large pan over medium heat until golden, stirring occasionally (about 3 minutes).
  2. Grind it all with an immersion blender or food processor.
  3. Gradually add oil, starting from 4 tablespoons until you like the consistency.
  4. Season with salt. Enjoy! P.S. You can transfer it to a jar and store for up to 3 months in the fridge. :)
