I don't think I've ever made a recipe the exact same way twice--I'm constantly changing ratios and ingredients, adding things on the fly, etc. However, I frequently end up making a particularly good batch, but being unable to remember what exactly I did differently.
I'm thinking the best solution is probably to start a giant notebook or google doc, and track changes in one of those, but I'd be interested to know if any of you have any tips/tricks.
