It's going to be cold this weekend and I'm looking for a great ham and bean soup recipe!

I have had a craving for ham and bean soup. Unfortunately, my grandfather has forgotten how to make his famous soup and cannot find the recipe. I have Googled it, but would love input from the Reddit community!
