Ingredients
- 750 g rump steak (beef) cut into strips
- 1 tbs oil
- 2 beef stock cube
- 2 tbs cornflour
- 2 sheets puff pastry
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 tsp vegemite
Method
- Brown steak in oil, add onion and cook for 2 minutes.
- Transfer to a large saucepan, add stock cubes, Vegemite and enough water to cover mixture.
- Simmer for 1½ hours or until tender.
- Make a paste with the cornflour and a little water and add to meat mixture slowly.
- Bring to the boil and season with salt and pepper.
