Pasta lovers, rejoice: There’s a better–and much less labor-intensive way–to whip up delicious and creamy homemade tomato sauce from scratch. Here’s what you need to do:
Step 1: Go about your normal red sauce routine, combining ingredients–sautéed onion, garlic, crushed tomatoes, vodka, the works.
Step 2: Once the sauce is to your liking, transfer it to a heat-safe dish and cook it in the oven at 375 degrees for an hour and a half. This gives the flavors a chance to really meld together and caramelize.
