I have a massive tin of Danish butter cookies and I need to make a dessert for book club

Any clever ideas of how to incorporate them? I'm considering using them as a cheesecake crust, but I also like the idea of a trifle. However, I've never made a trifle with a crunchy ingredient like the cookies and I'm uncertain of how it would turn out. Anyone have a good recipe for something like that? I'm imagining dark ganache, some sort of berry, topped with whipped cream...
