... makes the spam taste really good! It's a new discovery for me.
For those who know fried rice: skip to "The crispy spam part"
Ingredients
Cooked rice
Eggs
Soy sauce
Spam
Utensils
Rice cooker
Frying pan
Spatula
Knife
Method
The fried rice part
- Cook some scrambled eggs (lots of resources on this online)
- Split the scrambled eggs into a bunch of bite-size pieces using a spatula
- Add the rice
- Like with the eggs, try to separate the rice into individual grains as much as possible using a spatula. Rice lumps heat unevenly
- Mix some soy sauce in
- Put the finished mixture into a bowl
The crispy spam part
- Chop spam into as particles as small as possible
- Get a lid
- Cook all of these spam bits
- Put the lid on since these spam bits pop like popcorn
- Overcook these bits a little bit
The crispy spam fried rice part
- Mix in the fried rice with the currently-cooking spam bits
- Again try to chop up the fried rice as much as possible. Rice lumps heat unevenly
- Eat the fried rice
Notes
-
If you remove the lid to move around the spam bits with a spatula, try to not let the moisture from the lid go back into the spam. Less liquid makes the spam taste good
-
Add some vegetables at the end if you want to
-
I sometimes get fried garlic and then make it a part of the egg, like an omelette, then use this for the fried rice
